- A current Basic Life Support certification is required.
- Basic electrocardiogram skills are required within six months of employment.
- For the Patient Care Partner pathway, completion of the AUA Certification Program, successful completion of its test, and licensure with the Oklahoma Board of Nursing are required.
- Perform a variety of patient-care duties under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
- Actively participate in administering patient care and ensure a safe and comforting environment.
- Respond to patients’ needs in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including meals, bathing, and hygiene needs.
- Perform a 12-lead electrocardiogram.
- Assist clinical team members by performing patient-care tasks and comfort measures under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
- Interact effectively with patients, families, physicians, and all levels of staff.
- A high school diploma or General Educational Development certificate is preferred.
- Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Patient Care Assistant, or similar program is preferred for the Nursing Assistant pathway.
- Completion of an AUA Program is preferred for the Patient Care Partner pathway.
- Six months to one year of continuous experience in an acute healthcare setting is preferred.
