Requirements
  • Enrollment in an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Ability to produce high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment with diverse patient populations.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with patients and clinical teams.
  • Ability to follow direction from registered technologists and Radiologists.
Responsibilities
  • Review patient medical information and reconcile exam orders with physician requests.
  • Complete required documentation, consents, and questionnaires before imaging.
  • Perform diagnostic radiographic exams, including trauma, orthopedic, fluoroscopic, contrast, and invasive procedures, under supervision.
  • Evaluate image quality, ensure proper documentation, and present studies to Radiologists.
  • Assist Radiologists with invasive fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Prepare and administer intravenous, oral, and rectal contrast according to protocol.
  • Transport and operate portable X-ray equipment.
  • Support CT Technologists by transporting and positioning patients, preparing contrast, and providing pre- and post-exam instructions.
  • Practice radiation safety in accordance with ALARA guidelines.
  • Use Radiology Information System and Picture Archiving and Communication System systems proficiently.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Use patient safety equipment and appropriate shielding during exams.
