Responsibilities
  • Leading and developing the UK Client Relationship Management (CRM) team focusing on the different skills and competencies required across the UK client base. Deploying CRMs appropriately, matching skills and competencies with client requirements, particularly for complex solutions focused clients
  • Coaching and up-skilling CRMs, providing guidance and leadership support to aide their growth into talented Relationship Managers across their respective client bases
  • Representing UK CRM as lead at complex solutions client review meetings, due diligence meetings and new business pitches. Contributing to new business RFPs on behalf of the UK CRM function
  • Keeping abreast of strategic developments in the UK marketplace, in addition to sharing strategic awareness of key developments in the UK marketplace with the team and providing strategic input to strategy discussions as necessary
  • Building and leading an EMEA client onboarding project management team focused on the largest and most complex clients. Coaching and developing the team and providing oversight of complex onboarding exercises across the region.
  • As appropriate, contributing directly in managing larger more complex onboarding exercises, helping with setting the expectations internally and externally and providing guidance to the project managers on the development of appropriate governance structures to support successful onboarding
  • Monitoring evolving client experience market standards and ensuring SSGA is aligned with these and strategically influencing where standards should be raised further to outperform the market, by working closely with the respective teams to implement and adopt
  • Representing the UK Institutional Business at board meetings and other forums where UK client specific insights are required.
  • Effectively communicating with leaders and colleagues within the organisation to include but not limited to investment, operations, legal and compliance teams, with a view to maximising opportunities and mitigating threats
  • Fostering an environment within the team which allows diversity and inclusion to thrive and staff the freedom to allow their talents to blossom and deliver leading engagement and service to clients and consultants with the objective of building client trust, retaining relationships and providing a strong platform to bring on new client relationships
  • Demonstrating risk excellence through adhering to and promoting a robust compliant culture. Safeguarding the integrity and culture of SSGA by championing risk and compliance policies that protect our clients' interests
