Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or university preferred.
  • Two to four years of experience related to commercial lines account management preferred.
  • Experience with Epic and other insurance related software preferred.
  • Earned and ability to maintain state property and casualty insurance license required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of minimum qualifications.
  • Knowledge of insurance agency operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with a great attitude, self-motivation and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
  • Must be thorough, detail-oriented and is responsible for working with confidential information.
  • Ability to accommodate immediate requests, perform under short deadlines and coordinate multiple jobs.
  • Ability to function independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
  • As an Account Manager you will play a vital role in ensuring our clients receive the service they need to properly manage their insurance policies.
  • You are the facilitator of positive and effective relationships with our valued clients and insurance carrier staff.
  • As the point-of-contact, you will assist the team by managing a book of commercial accounts, including marketing to carriers, preparing quotes and proposals, quickly responding to policy inquiries (email, phone), maintaining renewal controls on expirations and binders, checking policies/endorsements/audits for accuracy, and maintaining accurate and organized account files.
