  • Hold a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or an equivalent qualification.
  • Have at least 2 years of clinical veterinary nursing experience.
  • Be confident performing both veterinary nursing and reception duties.
  • Have strong animal handling and patient care skills.
  • Be confident monitoring anaesthesia and supporting surgical procedures.
  • Have strong communication and customer service abilities.
  • Be organised, efficient, and capable of managing competing priorities.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians during consultations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
  • Prepare patients for surgery and assist in the theatre.
  • Monitor anaesthesia and support patient recovery.
  • Administer medications and treatments.
  • Collect samples and perform pathology testing.
  • Provide nursing care for hospitalised patients.
  • Maintain accurate patient records.
  • Educate and support clients regarding their pets' health and wellbeing.
  • Perform reception duties including appointment scheduling, client enquiries, admissions, discharges, and payments.
  • Support the day-to-day operation and workflow of the clinic.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection control.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with RxWorks is advantageous but not essential.
