Requirements
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English and Spanish, with English proficiency at C1 level or higher.
  • At least 6 months of experience as a medical scribe, dental scribe, or clinical documentation specialist supporting U.S.-based healthcare providers.
  • A typing speed of at least 70 words per minute.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, clinical documentation standards, SOAP note formatting, and healthcare workflows.
  • Experience using electronic medical record or electronic health record systems and medical documentation software.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in fast-paced clinical environments.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Document patient consultations and procedures live during appointments.
  • Prepare and review medical charts before and after patient visits.
  • Capture patient histories, examination findings, treatment plans, and clinical notes accurately.
  • Format documentation using SOAP notes, provider-specific templates, and electronic medical record or electronic health record systems.
  • Maintain accurate and organized medical records.
  • Support provider follow-ups and patient communication workflows.
  • Assist with orders, documentation updates, clinical coordination, and administrative follow-up tasks.
  • Verify prescriptions and initiate prior authorizations when needed.
  • Coordinate documentation with healthcare providers and clinical staff.
  • Help maintain efficient patient flow and provider productivity.
  • Maintain Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act compliance and strict patient confidentiality.
  • Ensure medical documentation remains accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
  • Follow provider documentation standards and clinical workflows.
  • Stay updated on medical terminology and healthcare documentation best practices.
Desired Qualifications
  • Graduation from an allied medical program, such as Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Dental Medicine, Registered Nursing, or a similar healthcare-related background.
  • Experience supporting physicians, dentists, specialists, or multi-provider clinics.
  • Familiarity with prior authorizations, prescription workflows, and clinical follow-up coordination.
  • Previous remote healthcare support experience.
  • Strong understanding of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act requirements and patient confidentiality standards.
