Requirements
  • Working toward an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Holding a valid Class 5 Driver's License or extra-provincial equivalent without learner's restrictions.
  • Being comfortable working in a dynamic industrial work environment with engineering, technical, and operational personnel.
  • Managing numerous projects simultaneously.
  • Having strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to all levels.
  • Being proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies.
  • Assist in coordinating maintenance projects in a processing plant, water treatment facility, or mobile maintenance involving heavy-duty mining equipment.
  • Organize, schedule, and monitor the status of maintenance projects.
  • Monitor project budgets, identify inefficiencies, and offer cost-effective solutions.
  • Support operations and work with skilled trades to troubleshoot equipment failures and develop repair scopes of work.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to produce detailed designs for on-site mechanical projects, such as equipment or building-facility upgrades.
  • Support reliability-maintenance initiatives, including failure and root-cause analysis.
  • Create and evaluate innovative ideas and technologies to help improve business operations.
Desired Qualifications
  • A solid understanding of AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
