  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of engineering and or coding development experience with a desire to focus on musculoskeletal modeling.
  • Interest in using Python and commercial software APIs for automating simulations, customizing models, and performing data analysis.
  • Prefer experience with at least 1 commercial Simulation/Modeling/FEA application and coding through its API.
  • Working toward or has a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Interest in developing expertise in musculoskeletal modeling and finite element software such as OpenSim, OpenSim MOCO, AnyBody, Ansys, and Nastran.
  • Interest in applying advanced coding algorithms and practices for orthopedic implant design and imaging.
  • Prefer knowledge of object oriented coding practices and solid foundation in Python and libraries such as numpy, scipy, pandas, meshio, pyvista, h5py.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and apply detailed musculoskeletal models using platforms such as OpenSim, OpenSim MOCO, AnyBody or similar tools to simulate human movement and musculoskeletal dynamics.
  • Design, develop, and apply finite element, implicit and explicit techniques and meshless analysis to orthopedic designs.
  • Incorporate medical imaging data (MRI, CT) into patient-specific models and simulations for enhanced clinical analyses, including segmentation methods.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of simulations by validating and verifying models against experimental data, clinical studies, or comparative trials.
