About The Role
As a Technical Lead, you will define and execute our visionary product roadmap. You’ll help in leading the charge to ingest data from massively diverse and uncontrolled data sources. You will balance individual contribution, collaboration, and mentorship as you help fuel the growth of our incredible team and product. This will be a transformational, career-defining opportunity for you (and for us)!
Overall you will
- Build beautiful, scalable solutions to make the people analytics experience for CPOs, people leaders, and entire organizations 100x more efficient
- Evaluate critical technology and architecture choices with stakeholders as we build our analytics product, being a driving voice for these decisions
- Directly contribute to core design and architecture through writing code and serving as a role model for how great software should be written
- Advise the leadership team on key technical considerations related to the future of people analytics
- Teach and mentor the next generation of technical leaders at Knoetic
Within your first week
- Onboard and learn more about the company’s mission, culture, and values. You’ll write a user manual and a Professional Development Plan outlining exactly how you want to grow professionally over the next 2-3 years.
- Understand Knoetic’s tech infrastructure at a very high level. We will pair you up with an onboarding buddy to help you get up to speed
- Deploy your first Pull Request to production
Within your first month
- Participate in road mapping and architecture discussions
- Pair program with talented, ambitious engineers in a highly-collaborative team
- Collaborate with the team which includes our product manager and product designer to deliver a low/medium-sized project
At three months, you’ll be fully ramped!
- Lead a complex project from inception to deployment that will immediately provide value to our users
- Identify, evaluate, and define improvements to the existing infrastructure and product
- Lead a lunch and learn session on the topic of your choice :)
What we’re looking for
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 6+ years working in large codebases - we currently have 30 repositories working with 4 programming languages
- 2+ years leading complex projects from start to finish
- Familiarity with building modern web applications using our tech stack (React, NodeJS, Typescript, AWS, Kubernetes, SQL)
- You pride yourself on being able to identify and address issues before they become problems, and are skilled at finding signals in the noise
- After each interaction with you, you have efficiently transferred information and we definitely understand your insights, plans, or thoughts

In compliance with New York City Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role, adjusted for level, is between $145,000-$200,000 in New York City. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider a number of factors including level, skillset, experience, job scope, location, and current market data. This range is not inclusive of our competitive equity package.
