Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree with 6 or more years of experience, a Master’s degree with 4 or more years of experience, or a PhD with 1 or more year of experience in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Proficiency in Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js, including translating Figma designs into scalable, component-based user interfaces using formal design systems.
  • Ability to build and ship secure production desktop applications for macOS and Windows using Electron or Tauri, with knowledge of application lifecycles, inter-process communication, and security best practices.
  • Experience managing cross-platform packaging, code signing, and auto-update mechanisms, along with deploying and running services on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Proficiency in Git and Agile methodologies, with a focus on advanced accessibility standards for dynamic, real-time web user interfaces.
Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain the Circuit Desktop application for macOS and Windows using Electron or Tauri with an Angular and TypeScript user interface.
  • Implement desktop-specific functionality including system tray integration, native notifications, file system access, deep linking, global shortcuts, and always-on ambient presence, using clean inter-process communication between renderer and main processes with context isolation and sandboxing.
  • Build responsive AI-driven interfaces such as chat, agents, and streaming responses from Figma designs and UX frameworks, integrating REST APIs and Node.js services and reusing Circuit’s web design system on the desktop surface.
  • Own cross-platform build pipelines and installers, including DMG and PKG for macOS and MSI and NSIS for Windows, code signing, macOS notarization, hardened runtime, and reliable differential auto-updates.
  • Integrate native modules where needed using Swift or Objective-C on macOS and C++ or C# on Windows; profile and optimize startup time, memory, and CPU usage; debug native crashes; and manage large local state using SQLite or IndexedDB.
  • Deploy supporting services on Google Cloud Platform, contribute to a multi-platform continuous integration and continuous delivery matrix, and collaborate with designers, backend, platform, and quality engineers within an Agile team.
  • Work with user experience and user interface designers throughout the product lifecycle, participate in design reviews, provide feasibility feedback, and help scope work so designs can ship without last-minute compromises.
  • Build interfaces using a shared component library and design tokens, extending existing patterns instead of writing one-off styles, while keeping the user interface consistent, theme-aware, and maintainable.
  • Implement Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 AA patterns for dynamic AI interfaces, including ARIA live regions for streaming responses, semantic structure for conversation interfaces, focus management across modals and context switches, full keyboard support, and color contrast in light and dark modes.
  • Apply findings from usability testing and end-user feedback during development, determine when designs are ready to build, and raise gaps or edge cases with designers before production issues arise.
  • Build front-end patterns for human-AI interaction, including streaming and token-by-token rendering, clear loading and error states, recovery flows for failed responses, and user interfaces that support trust and comprehension in non-deterministic experiences.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience building web-based or desktop AI applications, including large language model, chatbot, and agent interfaces, streaming responses, and real-time updates via WebSockets.
  • Proficiency writing native modules using Swift or Objective-C for macOS and C++ or C# and Win32 APIs for Windows, plus performance profiling to optimize Electron overhead including startup time, memory, and CPU usage.
  • Experience building and maintaining a multi-platform continuous integration and continuous delivery matrix using GitHub Actions, including parallel macOS and Windows runners with secure signing secrets, and familiarity with Docker for containerized development.
  • Experience with local or offline storage solutions including SQLite, IndexedDB, and the file system, and with managing efficient large-scale local state.
  • Familiarity with operating-system accessibility APIs and deep integration of desktop accessibility and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines standards.
  • Hands-on ownership of complex features and projects.

Cisco quietly powers AI infrastructure with $9.3B in hyperscale orders and 21x forward P/E

Cisco has secured $9.3 billion in hyperscale AI orders for fiscal year 2026, positioning itself as a key player in AI infrastructure. The company's fourth-quarter networking product orders grew 40%, marking the eighth consecutive quarter of double-digit growth. Revenue reached $17.3 billion in Q4, up 17.6%, whilst non-GAAP earnings per share of $1.22 beat estimates by 4.4%. Management projects AI infrastructure revenue of $7.5 billion in fiscal 2027. CEO Chuck Robbins cited "accelerating adoption of agentic AI" as driving a networking super cycle. Four major hyperscalers increased AI infrastructure orders in Q4. Cisco trades at a 21x forward price-to-earnings ratio, significantly below competitor Arista Networks' 70x trailing P/E. However, non-GAAP gross margin fell to 66.3% from 68.4% year-over-year due to product mix shifts towards high-volume AI hardware.

AMD partners with Cisco on AI infrastructure platform in Saudi Arabia

AMD announced a partnership with Cisco and Saudi Arabia's HUMAIN to launch an AI infrastructure platform in the kingdom. The collaboration combines AMD's Instinct MI355X GPUs and EPYC CPUs with Cisco's Silicon One networking architecture to deliver GPU-as-a-Service infrastructure. The platform will begin with 250 megawatts of AI deployment starting in 2027, scaling to 1 gigawatt by the decade's end. This gives AMD access to sovereign AI spending outside North America. AMD's data centre sales grew 107% in Q2. The company's stock is currently trading at more than twice its price from the start of this year. The partnership positions AMD to compete with Nvidia in regional cloud computing whilst diversifying revenue streams beyond US cloud providers.

Cisco expands Nvidia AI partnership with liquid cooling as adoption set to hit 60% by 2027

Cisco has expanded its AI infrastructure partnership with Nvidia, incorporating liquid cooling technology into its Secure AI Factory. Cisco adds Supermicro AI servers to Nvidia partnership as stock surges 45%

Cisco is partnering with Supermicro to add high-powered AI servers to its Nvidia-backed infrastructure offering. The systems will support Nvidia's next-generation platforms and are expected to become available in October. Cisco has expanded its Secure AI Factory architecture through a partnership with Supermicro, adding rack-scale AI computing solutions to its portfolio. The collaboration delivers end-to-end infrastructure for massive AI workloads, from trillion-parameter training models to edge inferencing. The full-stack architecture addresses growing neocloud and sovereign cloud demand with an NVIDIA Cloud Partner-compliant solution featuring Cisco AI networking systems. Customers gain access to Supermicro's liquid- and air-cooled systems, enabling easier management of high-density AI clusters alongside non-AI workloads. The expanded offering includes rack-to-fabric liquid cooling with Cisco liquid-cooled AI networking systems and Supermicro's liquid-cooled servers. Cisco is the only NVIDIA technology partner using its own networking switches and operating system in an NCP-compliant solution. Cisco will begin offering Supermicro compute solutions as part of the Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA in October 2026.
