Requirements
  • Field installation experience in the low-voltage industry.
  • Availability to travel as needed.
  • Experience reading blueprints and site maps.
  • Experience in security environments; alarm and access control experience is a plus.
  • Experience with closed-circuit television, voice, and data cabling is a plus.
  • Experience with fiber optics and the ability to splice is a plus.
  • Ability to perform new installations and provide technical escalation support on-site and remotely by phone and specialized tools.
  • Strong customer relationship and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possession of basic telecommunications tools, personal protective equipment, and reliable transportation during the training period before a company vehicle is issued.
  • Computer, laptop, and smartphone proficiency.
  • Proficiency with email and spreadsheets, and ability to learn internal systems.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and no driving under the influence or driving while intoxicated conviction in the last three years.
Responsibilities
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair cabling systems and equipment.
  • Run low-voltage and composite cable in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and completing conduit work when needed.
  • Complete all wiring, connections, and equipment installations in accordance with customer satisfaction goals and contractual requirements.
  • Assist and collaborate with the Installation Team Lead or Project Manager regarding on-site work schedules and timely delivery of equipment.
  • Conduct tests to ensure newly installed systems and component devices are operational.
  • Troubleshoot new system installations to ensure proper functioning and compliance with local, county, state, or federal codes and legal or insurance requirements.
