  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience as an Outside Sales Representative is required.
  • The ability to resolve conflicts and solve problems.
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce for tracking client interactions, managing sales pipelines, and maintaining client relationships.
  • The ability to deliver persuasive sales presentations to groups of all sizes.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and comprehend written and verbal instructions.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
Responsibilities
  • Develop relationships with key decision makers and keep them informed about pricing, product applications, problem resolution, provided services, and general business matters.
  • Manage and cultivate current accounts while facilitating growth into new targeted industries and accounts.
  • Implement individual business plans covering current accounts and targeting new accounts to support the company's growth strategy.
  • Conduct sales and business development activities across the assigned territory.
  • Update Salesforce daily with ongoing and future activity for current and new accounts.
  • Update Salesforce with competitive intelligence, new trends, pricing, customer needs, and value-added services.
  • Communicate product standardization and offerings, lead times, and credit approval procedures to customers.
  • Make sales visits to each account once every four weeks.
  • Participate in developing individual performance plans.
  • Maintain consistent customer interaction for corrective actions and strong business relationships.
  • Travel to customer locations as necessary to investigate quality problems.
  • Participate in Sales and Marketing meetings, workshops, and conferences.
  • Implement production-standardization strategies to minimize inventory and achieve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the inside sales team on account matters.
  • Assist with preparing information for quarterly business reviews for key accounts.
  • Work with various departments to review specifications for improvements and follow up with customers to implement changes.
  • Provide on-site dimension measurements to customers when needed.
  • Adhere to Travel and Entertainment Policy and budget requirements.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or an industry-related field.
  • Formal completion of sales training programs.
  • Experience in industrial sales.
