The Opportunity:
The Treasury Manager is responsible for the management and oversight of FCC’s corporate and client assets. Reporting to the Director, Treasury, this role involves conducting, monitoring, and reporting on the treasury activities of FCC, playing a key part in daily treasury operations with a focus on treasury reporting and financial analysis. The ideal candidate is a strategic and analytical finance professional with a focus on treasury and delighting our customers.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Liquidity and Cash Management: Support the team in overseeing daily cash operations, including cash flow optimization and liquidity forecasting to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance: Prepare treasury reports on bank deposits, fixed income investment portfolios, risk metrics, and interest rate management.
- Report on and manage daily funding through FX SWAP and securities lending.
- Utilize Kyriba for managing cash and processing payments, focusing on daily cash balancing with banks and depositories (CDS/DTC/CDCC).
- Create and deliver analyses/presentations to the Director, Treasury, on treasury investment activity, liquidity, and client brokerage account analysis.
- Reconcile treasury accounts and respond to client inquiries about account-level rates and interest.
- Prepare foreign currency reports and review foreign liquidity custody activity.
- Work with FCC departments and clients to predict daily, weekly, and monthly treasury needs.
- Create and maintain reports for the Director, Treasury, on topics such as liquidity, funding, foreign exchange, risk metrics (rating agencies), and credit facilities.
- Collaborate with the internal Trading and Settlement department for treasury reporting and forecasting.
What We’re Looking For
- Post-Secondary degree with a focus on business (Accounting, Finance, Economics, Commerce)
- 2 years+ of experience working in related Treasury field (Liquidity, Risk, Financial analysis, Reporting, Capital Markets)
- Experience working in the Brokerage operations is preferred but not required
- Completion of or working towards a financial/accounting designation (CPA or CTP)
The Expertise You Bring
- Detail-oriented, have strong analytical skills, and be able to work well in a small team.
- Experience with Kyriba
- Knowledge of global (SWIFT) domestic clearing networks
- Understanding of regulatory environment
- Able to work within tight deadlines in fast paced environment.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Client service oriented.
- Must be able to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of Loanet, DataPhile, CDS, DTC, and Arrow.
