Position Summary
The Onsite Health Promotion Specialist provides lifestyle and behavior management guidance to employees of Sarasota County Government and serves as an educator, coordinator and developer for wellbeing initiatives available to employees. Responsible for continuously promoting workplace wellbeing programs working alongside plan sponsor’s Employee Benefits & Wellness department with travel throughout Sarasota County. Promoting wellness related employee benefits available through insurance carrier and incorporating Aetna value-added benefits to link members with additional care coordination, services, and programs. Comfortability researching, developing, and presenting courses based on the county’s four dimensions of wellness: physical, mental, social, and intellectual. Ability to conduct 1:1 personal training, lead exercise classes, and record exercise videos for the employee population. Responsible for meeting with insurance plan members 1:1 for health coaching services. Work location based at the Sarasota County Administration building alongside the Sarasota County Employee Wellness team.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of three years workplace wellbeing programming experience.
- Knowledge and experience in health risk assessments, lifestyle risk reduction, disease management and health promotion.
- Skilled in digital technology, leading virtual learning sessions and demonstrations. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite– Word, Forms, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- ACE Certified Personal Trainer, or equivalent certification
- CPR / First Aid / AED Certified
- Certified Mental Health Coach
- Experience with 1:1 health coaching
- Bilingual Spanish
Education
Bachelors degree in Public Health or similar or equivalent experience in related field.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$46,988.00 - $91,800.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
