Moneybox hits $1B unicorn valuation via $57M staff share sale on London's new Pisces market

Moneybox, the UK savings and investing app, has achieved unicorn status with a valuation of £800 million ($1.1 billion). The valuation stems from a £45 million staff share sale on the London Stock Exchange's new Private Intermittent Securities and Capital Exchange System (Pisces), rather than a traditional funding round. The sale runs through Crowdcube at a fixed price, with employees selling first and an auction following in July. Access is invite-only. Founded in 2016, Moneybox serves over 1.9 million customers and holds more than £23 billion in assets. The company surpassed £115 million in revenue in 2025 and recorded its third consecutive year of profit. Pisces allows private companies to open occasional trading windows, enabling staff and early backers to cash out without a full IPO. Other companies testing the platform include Wayve and potentially Revolut.
