Requirements
  • Systems software validation and verification, development assurance, safety analysis, and systems integration
  • Experience in developing test cases working with software development and system engineering teams
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Test Engineering and System Testing
  • Experience leading test programs compliant with airplane software certification using RTCA DO-178C
  • Strong skills in testing methodologies and test execution
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Plan, execute, and troubleshoot complex software systems integration to validate interface definition and system requirements of airplane network systems
  • Compare actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity, and lessons learned
  • Experience with DOORS or similar requirements development and management tool
  • Experience authoring certification or process documentation for a DO-178C compliant test program
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute test cases and perform system-level testing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure functionality and compliance of airplane systems and software
  • Troubleshoot and address issues identified during testing
  • Contribute to enhancement of testing strategies and methodologies
  • Plan, execute, and troubleshoot complex software systems integration to validate interface definitions and system requirements of airplane network systems
  • Compare actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity, and lessons learned
Desired Qualifications
  • Passion for aviation and familiarity with airplane systems
  • Experience with airplane networks and communication
  • Basic knowledge of network protocols, routing table definitions, and network architecture definitions
  • Experience with test procedures, lab testing and troubleshooting
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Experience with Development Assurance, Certification and Safety Analysis
  • Customer focus and ability to jump to the hottest “fire” and contribute to problem solutions
  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years and/or advanced degree with 5+ years related work experience
  • An accredited degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. Preference for accreditation from ABET
  • This role requires employee to be onsite 3-5 days a week
