Position Summary
We’re looking for a proactive and organized Career Programs Specialist to lead the coordination and execution of our Internship and Returnship programs. In this role, you’ll oversee program logistics, support recruitment efforts, and deliver an exceptional experience for both early-career talent and experienced professionals re-entering the workforce. You’ll work closely with the Sr. Career Program Specialist, internal stakeholders, external partners, and program participants to ensure seamless operations, while continuously evolving the programs to meet business needs. This is a hands-on, collaborative role that combines event management, talent engagement, communication, and data insights, all in support of building and nurturing a strong, diverse talent pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the coordination of career programs, including scheduling events, managing logistics, and ensuring smooth program operations.
- Provides support to candidates participating in the career programs, including answering inquiries, facilitating onboarding, or offboarding processes, and addressing concerns.
- Supports ongoing communication efforts with program participants, stakeholders, and internal teams, including drafting emails, creating newsletters, and updating program information.
- Handles administrative duties related to program management, such as maintaining participant records, organizing documentation, and managing program materials.
- Assists in the planning and execution of program-related events, such as orientations, training sessions, networking events, and social activities.
- Collection, organization, and analysis of program data, including participant feedback, performance evaluations, and program metrics.
- Collaborates with team members and stakeholders to contribute ideas, share best practices, and ensure alignment of program goals with organizational objectives.
- Acts as a recruitment consultant to the business, setting clear expectations regarding the recruitment processes.
- Identifies areas for improvement in program processes and suggests solutions to enhance program effectiveness and participant experience.
- Develops and maintains strong partnerships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure successful campus recruitment efforts.
- Supports and influences career program recruitment plan and branding strategy to enhance brand and attract top talent from campuses, or for other career program initiatives.
- Serves as point of contact and works to develop new and enhance existing partnerships with schools, vendors and stakeholders.
- Supports and executes career programs strategies to align recruitment efforts with organizational goals and ensuring effective implementation.
- Reviews and provides insights to career program data trends and talent intelligence to inform recruitment strategy and make recommendations for enhancements.
- Manages candidate engagement and offer processes ensuring a positive candidate experience and securing top talent for the organization.
- Conduct regular meetings with leaders and stakeholders to discuss process inefficiencies and brainstorm solutions.
- Supports recruitment activities and evaluation including sourcing, screening, and evaluating candidates.
Qualifications
- 1 - 3 years of prior campus recruiting or higher education experience.
- Ability to develop and drive candidate attraction campaigns.
- Involvement within high volume recruiting, university relations, HR, program/event management, or account management
- Ability to drive accountability and ownership within the process.
- Analytical capabilities
- Ability to multi-task, manage multiple deadlines, oversee projects, influence without authority, and drive for desired results.
- Self-driven, ability to work independently.
- Strong business acumen
- Travel 50% (during Fall and Spring Campus Recruitment seasons, and other travel as required).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Knowledge and expertise in the campus recruiting process
- Knowledge with behavioral interviewing.
Salary Range: $72,000 - $82,000
