Requirements
  • You have a post-secondary education in Human Resources or Business (or the equivalent experience), with 5+ years’ working experience with a Canadian or global benefits environment
  • You have a strong knowledge of Canadian benefits-related legislation, with the ability to learn and understand emerging Canada and global regulations
  • You have or would like to obtain a CEBS GBA 1 and GBA 2 designations
  • You possess strong vendor and relationship management skills
  • You have a good understanding of benefit program processes, benefit plan details and government mandated benefits
  • You have strong analytical skills, with the ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
  • You have a mindset of continuous improvement, and you challenge the status quo, implementing process improvements as possible
  • You have a strong customer service orientation, able to establish collaborative working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • You can handle sensitive and confidential information in an appropriate manner.

Responsibilities
  • Contributing to the design, delivery and implementation of the company’s employee total wellbeing programs related to group health and dental benefits, wellness, leaves and absences, retirement, recognition and additional perquisites
  • Performing auditing and reporting requirements in compliance with the CRA
  • Providing consultation to key internal stakeholders, including Arc’teryx People & Culture team, and business partners on program awareness, policies and best practices
  • Building strong rapport and managing escalations from all employee benefits tickets with key internal and external stakeholders to identify timely solutions and process improvement
  • Providing recommendations on technical ticketing system efficiencies/automation and determining effectiveness or benefits categories based on data extracts and reporting, SLA’s and evolving programs and perquisites
  • Reviewing data and feedback from employee listening channels including surveys and diversity councils and identifying gaps to provide recommendations on employee education campaigns, curated communication and program adjustments
  • Supporting the design and management of Paid Time Off programs and other perquisites
  • Regularly auditing and reporting on program performance, trends, employee data integrity and providing costing analysis and impacts of future programs
  • Managing case escalations from disability management programs (Short-Term and Long-Term) with a high degree of sensitivity, partnering with business partners, people leaders and health and safety on program requirements and return to work accommodations
  • Providing internal Payroll and HRIS teams direction on program configurations and accurate employee and employer premiums calculations and top-up payments
  • Actively participating and leading benefits projects, including annual open enrollment and implementations including Human Resources Information System (HRIS) such as Workday and ADP. Leading testing and configuration requirements
  • Participating in other total rewards projects and duties, as assigned
