Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE)
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in Roadway/Highway design engineering
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Experience with project management and accounting software
  • Exceptional organization skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with the Roadway Discipline Leader and senior management to develop and implement strategies for regional market penetration.
  • Develop new client relationships and seek out opportunities for new business with local agency and DOT clients.
  • Represent the company at industry events and expand the company’s brand recognition within the region.
  • Collaborate with the company’s other service lines to effectively promote our capabilities and cross-sell services.
  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with regulations and specifications.
  • Collaborate with corporate staff and management to build a high-performing team; As the team grows, lead and manage a team or teams, including engineers and technicians.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture, exemplifying the company’s core values.
  • Ensure the professional growth and development of department team members.
  • Guide the team to deliver high-quality results.
  • Manage local agency and DOT roadway design projects.
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
  • Plan, organize, and direct activities of project teams and/or direct reports, including project management, design, and construction oversight.
  • Perform QC/QA as needed.
