Requirements
  • Must be a Magnetic Resonance (MRI) Technologist knowledgeable of current MRI technology.
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited academic institution is required.
  • ARRT Registered Technologist certification in MRI RT(MR) is required; a radiography credential is preferred and the MRI credential is expected.
  • At least two years of professional clinical experience in MRI is required.
  • CPR certification is required.
  • Training in educational methods, testing and evaluation, and demonstrated strength in instructional methodology, delivery, and techniques is required within 30 days of beginning instruction.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel, is required.
  • Thorough, accurate, and practical knowledge of the relevant field or discipline is required.
  • Ability to interpret and evaluate theories in the relevant field or discipline is required.
  • Ability to operate office equipment such as a computer terminal, calculator, and copier is required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly ethnically and culturally diverse student and associate community is required.
  • Effective oral and written communication, presentation, listening, interpersonal, follow-through, attention-to-detail, motivation, self-direction, multitasking, judgment, compliance, customer service, and relationship-building abilities are required.
  • Ability to work with individuals at all organizational levels is required.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule is required.
  • Ability to travel or drive locally weekly, daily, or as needed is required.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and assign students to clinical sites for the program.
  • Ensure students are current on vaccinations, assign clinical sites, and record attendance.
  • Maintain records and ensure compliance with college and program policies and procedures, accreditation requirements, and state requirements.
  • Participate in student functions, graduation exercises, open houses, new student orientations, and advisory board meetings.
  • Collect and maintain documentation related to clinical education, including health forms, CPR certifications, student evaluations, and site evaluations.
  • Plan and coordinate student clinical site orientations.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage student assignments to clinical facilities.
  • Identify clinical sites that support student clinical requirements.
  • Maintain an accurate clinical site information database, including contact information and contractual agreement termination and expiration dates.
  • Establish and maintain communication lines between clinical facilities, their staff, and American Career College.
  • Inform clinical affiliate staff of student assignments in each clinical area.
  • Work with clinical affiliate staff to clarify facility-specific policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the clinical clearance of students.
  • Maintain established department policies and procedures and attend in-service sessions and required meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • One year of teaching or clinical instruction experience is preferred.
  • Radiography credential is preferred.
  • Bilingual skills are preferred but not required.
