Requirements
  • Typically a bachelor's degree, a master's degree is preferred.
  • Exemplary communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • A strategic, collaborative and innovative problem-solver with coaching skills and experience supporting professionals at various academic and professional stages.
  • Strong industry knowledge of how employers recruit, hire, and evaluate candidates.
Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group coaching for approximately 15 hours per week to students pursuing careers in creative and business industries.
  • Collaborate with the Office for International Students and Scholars (OISS) to stay informed about current employment laws and regulations affecting international students.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with employers across creative and business sectors.
  • Partner with the Assistant Director of Entertainment Professions to support strategic initiatives with the College of Communication and Fine Arts as well as the School of Film and Television.
  • Collaborate with the College of Business Administration’s Graduate Programs team to provide career coaching for graduate students.
  • Design and deliver a 'how-to' workshop series—virtually or in person—and develop website content to support students and alumni in enhancing workplace preparedness and career readiness.
