  • Diploma or degree from an accredited registered nurse program.
  • Current New York State Registered Nurse license.
  • Current Basic Life Support training and certification.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • At least two years of experience as a registered nurse in a physician practice or ambulatory environment, or previous related experience.
  • Ability to work with electronic health records, practice management, and scheduling systems.
  • Ability to function effectively in a busy outpatient clinical setting.
  • Ability to use effective oral and written communication, collaborate with a team, and apply analytical problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome patients.
  • Operate clinical equipment according to manufacturer instructions, including safety and quality-control checks.
  • Check care areas regularly for malfunctioning equipment and general maintenance problems, report findings to the appropriate person, and arrange repairs as required.
  • Create and maintain excellence in patient and family satisfaction, relationships, and engagement.
  • Respond to care questions or complaints for timely resolution, document unresolved patient issues, and refer them to the appropriate party.
  • Apply aseptic technique and infection-control principles when performing clinical duties and tasks.
  • Collect, prepare, and process laboratory specimens for on-site and remote-site testing.
  • Track and enter laboratory results in the medical record.
  • Perform quality control for waived testing and maintain related logs.
