Requirements
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) Field and a minimum of Eight (8) or more years of experience in Microwave/RF module, subsystem and component analysis, design and test
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Work with the department manager on manpower and resource planning, controlling overhead costs, developing and delivering employee performance reviews, and developing/reviewing proposals
  • Review and oversee project schedules and costs
  • Support the needs of up to 20 employees who will depend on the section lead to help guide their careers and maximize their potential and effectiveness
  • Support management at the department, directorate, and functional leadership levels.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree or PhD. in a Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) Field
  • Experience leading technical teams in RF/microwave modules, systems, antennas, and/or Radar developments.
  • Understanding of allocating and flowing down requirements from the system to the component level
  • Experience in cost estimating, budget and schedule management
  • Experience in a production environment
  • Experience with GaAs and/or GaN MMIC devices
  • Strong academic background that includes courses in: Microwave Engineering, Microwave Systems, Electromagnetic Theory and Radar Systems
  • Experience with microwave testing techniques, including using spectrum analyzers, Real-time Spectrum Analyzers (RSAs), Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs) and Performance Network Analyzer (PNAs)
  • Hands-on experience with electromagnetic simulation tools such as HFSS, ADS, CST, or Mentor Graphics’ Xpedition and analytical tools such as Matlab and AutoCAD
  • Previous experience with a defense contractor and/or government agency.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Current DoD Secret level security clearance
