Cohere Health improves the prior authorization process in healthcare by offering a platform called Cohere Unify, which automates and streamlines authorization requests. This platform integrates with electronic medical records and uses technologies like optical character recognition, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to speed up decision-making based on health plan policies. Unlike competitors, Cohere Health operates on a Platform-as-a-Service model, allowing health plans to license the platform for their internal teams. The goal is to enhance patient outcomes and reduce costs for healthcare providers and health plans.
