Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline is required.
  • At least 10 years of consulting experience managing Industrial Hygiene and hazardous materials projects is required.
  • Strong technical knowledge of asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, indoor air quality, and traditional Industrial Hygiene practices is required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, proposals, subcontractors, and technical deliverables is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while balancing changing priorities and client expectations is required.
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior staff within a collaborative consulting environment is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 is required.
  • Ability to travel approximately 5–10% throughout the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region is required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple Industrial Hygiene and hazardous materials projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and develop trusted relationships through communication, technical expertise, and responsive service.
  • Lead asbestos inspections, management planning, and consulting projects.
  • Lead lead-based paint inspections and risk assessments.
  • Lead mold investigations and remediation oversight.
  • Lead indoor air quality assessments.
  • Lead Industrial Hygiene services, including noise monitoring, ventilation evaluations, and personal exposure monitoring.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, proposals, and work plans, and monitor project performance from kickoff through completion.
  • Review technical reports, project deliverables, and regulatory documentation for quality, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Coordinate project staffing, subcontractors, and internal resources to deliver multiple concurrent projects.
  • Mentor and support project managers, scientists, and field staff by providing technical guidance and supporting professional development.
  • Conduct occasional site visits for senior-level inspections, quality assurance, client meetings, and project planning.
  • Collaborate with Industrial Hygiene professionals and technical experts across offices to deliver solutions and share best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and support new project opportunities.
  • Foster safety, quality, and continuous improvement on every project.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree is preferred.
  • A professional certification such as Certified Industrial Hygienist or Certified Safety Professional, or another relevant credential, is preferred.
  • Experience with Deltek Vision and customer relationship management platforms is a plus.
