  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a similar engineering field
  • 8+ years of relevant traffic engineering experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation
  • Experience with Synchro 10 and traffic signal operations/phasing
  • Experience with innovative intersection and interchange configurations
  • Experience with the predictive methods of the Highway Safety Manual
  • Experience with traffic forecasting methods
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
Responsibilities
  • Serving as a project engineer and/or project manager on traffic engineering projects
  • Coordinating with clients to understand project requirements and expectations
  • Taking a lead role in project planning, design, and implementation
  • Reviewing and approving project scopes, budgets, and schedules
  • Managing project tasks, budgets, schedules, and resources effectively
  • Delegating work to project team members
  • Performing detailed engineering analysis and design tasks
  • Mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior engineers
  • Reviewing complete project documents for quality and compliance
  • Assisting upper-level management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor
  • Performing other duties as needed
