The Hornstein Program at Brandeis University seeks an instructor for the course OHRNS 233 Confronting Contemporary Antisemitism, 2 credits, offered in the spring 2025 semester. This course focuses on the alarming increase in anti-Jewish rhetoric, threats and violence, especially since October 7, 2023, and equips Jewish Professional leaders with an understanding of the complex factors that contribute to antisemitism, and the tools to prevent, confront and combat it. Attention in the course is also given to preparing students to respond effectively should incidents occur in their communities.
The class is held virtually and asynchronously and begins in early January 2025 for 8 weeks.
Candidates with [minimum qualifications of an MA or higher, and teaching and/or other commensurate professional field experience will be given preference. Interested individuals should submit a cover letter, CV, a draft course syllabus, and names and contact information for two references. The deadline for first consideration is August 5, 2024.
This appointment is to a position that is in a collective bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local 509.
