Requirements
  • Completion of an MRI or Radiology Technology program.
  • At least two years of experience.
  • ARRT-MR Magnetic Resonance Imaging certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, or certification from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists.
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to meet the stated physical requirements, including constant standing and walking, frequent patient lifting and movement, and occasional lifting of objects weighing 25–50 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure quality in imaging, patient care, and workflow, and monitor patient documentation for timely completion and accuracy.
  • Oversee quality-control testing, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Serve as a resource to department staff and other team members as needed.
  • Perform staff orientation, training, and coaching, and provide input to staff performance evaluations.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
  • Ensure activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to the Picture Archiving and Communication System, including image quality, correct lead markers, and patient data and history.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage areas, and other department areas.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
