Requirements
  • Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.

  • Must be able to move intermittently, push, pull, move, or carry at least 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and over a minimum distance of 50 feet.
  • Must be able to assist in evacuating residents during emergency situations.
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.
  • Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants and ensure nursing personnel comply with facility policies, procedures, job descriptions, and applicable regulations.
  • Plan shift services, programs, and activities with assigned nursing and support personnel.
  • Participate in quality assurance programs, facility surveys, discharge planning, and care-plan development and maintenance.
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents and complete associated forms, records, reports, and documentation.
  • Prepare and administer physician-ordered medications and treatments, verify resident identity, maintain medication supplies and narcotic records, and report discrepancies.
  • Develop work assignments, provide leadership, conduct unit rounds, monitor staffing, and report staffing needs and problem areas.
  • Ensure nursing assistants and trainees meet training and supervision requirements.
  • Receive and give nursing reports at the beginning and end of shifts.
  • Orient residents, families, and new employees to the facility, shift, policies, procedures, and duties.
  • Review resident charts, transcribe physician orders, complete nursing notes, document accidents and incidents, and maintain medical records.
  • Consult with physicians and coordinate diagnostic, therapeutic, social, activity, transportation, and nursing services.
  • Review and implement resident care plans, monitor treatments, and evaluate residents’ physical and emotional status.
  • Perform nursing services including catheterization, tube feedings, suctioning, dressing changes, colostomy and drainage-bag care, specimen collection, vital-sign measurement, restorative programs, and monitoring of seriously ill residents.
  • Notify physicians and next of kin of accidents, incidents, or changes in residents’ conditions.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary nursing areas and ensure compliance with infection-control, hand-hygiene, safety, fire, and disaster procedures.
  • Maintain adequate medication, medical-supply, equipment, and personal-protective-equipment stock and ensure safe equipment operation.
  • Participate in staff training, orientation, continuing education, infection-control activities, and advance-directive training.
  • Review care plans and assist with Minimum Data Set assessments, Resident Assessment Protocols, and triggers.
  • Work throughout office, nursing-service, medication-room, nurses’ station, and resident-room areas, including during emergency call-back conditions.

PACS Group has appointed Carey P. Hendrickson as chief financial officer, effective 27 April 2026. Hendrickson brings nearly four decades of financial leadership across healthcare, senior living and media sectors. Most recently, Hendrickson served as CFO of U.S. Physical Therapy, overseeing 779 outpatient clinics across 44 states. PACS Group has announced that co-founder and chief financial officer Mark Hancock will retire on 30 June 2026. He will continue serving on the company's board of directors as vice chairman. Hancock co-founded PACS in 2013 with Jason Murray, starting with two post-acute care facilities in San Diego. Under his leadership, the company expanded to 323 facilities across 17 states, serving over 31,700 patients daily and generating $5.29 billion in revenue in 2025, representing 29.3% year-on-year growth. PACS Group, a leading post-acute healthcare platform, has appointed Dr Patrick Conway to its board of directors. Dr Conway currently serves as CEO of Optum, UnitedHealth Group's health services division with revenues exceeding $200 billion.
