- A first-cycle university degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, information systems administration, or a relevant IT discipline.
- At least 12 months of experience as an AKS architecture consultant for an organization of comparable scale, with hybrid Azure and on-premises infrastructure.
- At least 90-day engagements demonstrating mastery of Azure Kubernetes Service, Ansible, DevSecOps, Azure cloud, Terraform, Azure DevOps, PowerShell, and Python or Bash.
- Knowledge and experience required to perform all listed activities and deliverables.
- Design, deploy, secure, and optimize Kubernetes clusters for SAS Viya 4.0.
- Automate Azure infrastructure deployments through continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Implement AKS security controls, including role-based access control, network policies, pod security standards, and admission controllers.
- Manage NFS and SMB volumes through Azure NetApp Files, including CSI drivers and persistent volumes and claims.
- Administer AKS clusters, including Kubernetes upgrades, node pools, certificates, and ingress.
- Provide logging, monitoring, and optimization using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Container Insights.
- Ensure multi-zone high availability and business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Record weekly hours in the client's time-management system using the Excel template.
- Provide continuous knowledge transfer to internal resources.
- Create AKS architecture and design documentation, including logical and physical designs, network topology, and high availability and disaster recovery plans.
- Create AKS diagrams, standards, governance recommendations, and FinOps recommendations.
- Deliver continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, infrastructure as code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM, and operational documentation covering secrets and rollback.
- Produce security-control reports, image scanning, Azure Policy for AKS configuration, and risk analyses.
- Configure NFS and SMB volumes, document AKS and Azure NetApp Files integration, and create capacity and performance plans.
- Create operational runbooks, an AKS administration guide, and SAS Viya 4.0 update procedures.
- Configure Azure Monitor and Container Insights, create dashboards, and produce cost-optimization reports.
- Create multi-zone high-availability plans, business continuity and disaster recovery plans, and conduct resilience tests.
- Produce complete technical documentation, conduct training workshops, and provide post-deployment hypercare support.
- Maintain cluster operation, apply updates and patches, and manage infrastructure incidents.
