Requirements
  • 5+ years of engineering experience and a bachelor's degree in test engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or another technical degree.
  • Experience testing and qualifying space products, including most of the following: thermal cycling, thermal vacuum, vibration testing, ESD testing, electrical end-to-end testing, mechanical end-to-end testing, electroluminescence testing, and welding verification.
  • Experience working with solar power products.
  • Experience managing technical projects.
  • Master’s or PhD in test engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or other technical degree (preferred).
  • Experience with solar cell testing (preferred).
Responsibilities
  • Create test procedures for different component testing based on space environment requirements.
  • Collect the test data and create test reports.
  • Recommend test campaigns based on new mission requirements or changes in the product.
  • Source testing facilities and testing equipment to execute the tests.
  • Manage Solestial’s test equipment and ensure it is properly maintained to support all tests.
  • Manage test facility suppliers.
  • Work with other engineers and technicians to prioritize the workload.
