- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Two years of experience with computer hardware and software, including installation, repair, and troubleshooting, is required.
- Two exams are required: CompTIA A+ or the Microsoft Operating System Exam, plus an Advanced Microsoft Operating System exam or a manager-approved advanced CompTIA exam.
- Provide technical support to staff for computer hardware and software.
- Collaborate with department leadership to determine project priorities for identified software and hardware needs based on strategic objectives and ongoing assessment.
- Complete inventory records for tracking institutional software.
- Determine whether computer performance problems result from knowledge, systems, or policy and procedure deficits when requested.
- An associate degree in computer science or a technical certificate in a computer-related field is preferred.
- Experience dealing with local area networks and installing PC network equipment is preferred.
