Over the past decade, we’ve shipped over 150 products for clients that include Visa, the United Nations, Wells Fargo, Ernst & Young, and TOMS Shoes. Our founders built a previous agency (Monsoon) that was acquired by Capital One in 2015.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join an agile development squad providing analytical excellence to our clients suite of corporate actions applications. Our client, is in the midst of an evolution to meet strategic corporate actions needs. This is a full-time, W2 employee position with Kunai.
This role is a hybrid role, only partially remote. The position requires on-site work (5 consecutive days/month) at the client’s location in Boston, MA.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and document systems requirements and functional specifications.
- Work closely with clients, business analysts and software engineers to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Prepare detailed requirements documentation and specifications including use cases, context diagrams, business process flows, etc.
- Identify opportunities for collaboration across our distinct development tracks.
- Adhere to a project lifecycle methodology (Agile) for delivering a solution.
- Develop new workflows or modify existing workflows to meet business requirements.
- Work with cross-functional teams developing business and systems requirements, user interface design, data modeling, systems designs and systems interface specifications.
- Support business and technology team partners as a project subject matter expert.
- Acquire and constantly increase industry knowledge and subject matter expertise; understand competitive positioning in the marketplace as well as industry initiatives and vendor solutions.
- Provide analysis and troubleshooting for production issues as needed.
- Play a role of a backup Scrum Master to help the team in sprint planning, execution and review, run daily scrums and manage JIRA.
- Maintain and analyze product backlog, change controls and removes any impediments that obstruct a team’s pursuit of its sprint goals.
Skills:
- Systems analysis experience with a background in SQL, data mapping, Rest API’s, process mapping, and workflows.
- Software engineering background with experience working with teams of engineers in an Agile environment.
- Experience applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
- Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques, tools & approaches: User Stories, TDD (Test Driven Development), Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games, Jira, Burn-down techniques.
- Experience working with Enterprise tools such as SharePoint, Confluence, Jira & Jira Align.
- Ability to identify and assess technology solutions, noting both the technical and operational dependencies.
- Team mentality with strong engagement and ability to articulate strategy and decisions.
- Ability to assess and integrate latest information and requirements into plans seamlessly.
- A background in the financial services industry is a plus.
