Requirements
  • Two years of recent ambulatory or medical-surgical nursing experience are required.
  • Familiarity with phone triage standards is required.
  • An active Basic Life Support certification is required.
  • Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care in multiple ambulatory settings.
  • Perform phone triage.
  • Answer patient MyChart messages.
  • Provide independent patient assessments in specialty care settings.
  • Administer medications and injections.
  • Follow up on medical records and test results.
  • Assist with patient admissions and record keeping.
  • Coordinate medical and nursing care across the UW Medicine system.
  • Document patient care outcomes in the Epic electronic health record system.
  • Assist with minimally invasive ambulatory procedures.
