Requirements
  • A minimum high school diploma or certified equivalency is required.
  • Typically, two years of demonstrated and effective supervisory experience in a retail branch or financial institution environment, or demonstrated and effective lead-worker experience providing guidance and expertise to branch staff to meet operational, sales, and customer service goals and objectives, is required.
  • Thorough knowledge of Relationship Banker operational activities, new account functions, and consumer loans is required.
  • The role requires organizational and interpersonal skills, conflict-resolution ability, and the ability to foster teamwork and collaboration.
  • The role requires the ability to coach, supervise, and direct the work of others while promoting morale, engagement, and productivity.
  • The role requires the ability to present information effectively one-on-one and in small groups to customers and employees.
  • Effective time-management and timely follow-up skills are required.
  • Fluency in English, including verbal and written communication, is required.
  • Strong mathematical and computational skills, accurate and consistent balancing ability, and the ability to find balancing errors in others' work are required.
  • The role requires the ability to develop and maintain working knowledge of First Fed policies, procedures, products, and systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required.
  • The incumbent must be willing and able to work Saturdays as needed.
  • A current Washington State driver's license is required.
  • NMLS registration is required if originating consumer loans.
  • The role requires the ability to operate office machines and equipment, including personal computers, printers, copying machines, and telephones.
  • The role requires the ability to communicate clearly with customers, coworkers, and others in person and by telephone.
  • The role requires combinations of sitting and standing for extended periods.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise frontline sales staff and oversee the branch's day-to-day operations.
  • Manage implementation of institution-wide sales and service efforts to retain existing customer relationships and grow new relationships, meeting branch and bank-wide deposit, loan, and fee-income goals.
  • Work with the Branch Manager to develop and implement a sound Business Development Plan in accordance with Association objectives.
  • Develop new business by proactively contacting prospective and current customers and presenting appropriate financial products and services.
  • Manage business-development support provided by Customer Service Representatives and Relationship Bankers in collaboration with the Branch Manager.
  • Present, in collaboration with the direct supervisor, a supportive and consistent leadership team that enhances branch-staff productivity and success.
  • Maintain the operational integrity of the branch and minimize organizational liability.
  • Project a professional and positive image of First Fed through personal appearance and behavior in the branch and at community events, and through appropriate internal and external communications.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • College coursework is highly preferred.
  • Spanish fluency, including speaking, reading, and writing, is preferred.
