Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of sales experience with documented success is required.
  • Medical device or contact lens sales experience is required.
  • A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States permanently and without future employer sponsorship.
  • Candidates must reside in the assigned territory or within approximately 20 miles of the territory radius.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required.
  • Daily CRM use is required to report customer interactions and analyze products, account sales, and territory growth.
  • Knowledge of contact lens markets and the CooperVision Myopia product portfolio is required.
  • The role requires the ability to work independently, communicate effectively in writing and verbally, interface with other departments, and plan and execute presentations for customer groups.
Responsibilities
  • Manage, develop, and grow the CooperVision Myopia product portfolio with existing and new customers.
  • Build professional sales relationships with assigned customers using a consultative selling style.
  • Conduct daily in-person and virtual client interactions and prospect for new business within the assigned territory.
  • Create joint business plans and collaborate with colleagues to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals established for the territory.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the CooperVision Myopia portfolio, including MiSight and Paragon CRT, and use professional selling skills and technical knowledge to grow market share.
  • Deploy sales, marketing, and educational resources to support practitioner acceptance.
  • Use knowledge of the industry, competition, and product portfolio to meet customer needs.
  • Establish and execute an effective call cycle and territory business plan.
  • Analyze key metrics regularly to support changes to the growth plan.
  • Respond to customer inquiries within 24 hours.
  • Integrate and train customers on the CooperVision Myopia technology suite and value-added products.
  • Participate in state, regional, and national optical shows when requested, including weekends.
  • Submit CRM call reports, expense reports, territory reviews, and other administrative reports on time.
  • Identify needs for value-added tools and collaborate with appropriate departments to create practice-management tools and materials for eye-care practitioners.
  • Travel overnight within the territory up to 50%.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the contact lens and optical industry is highly beneficial.
  • NCLE, CLSA, ABO, COA, or COT certification is preferred.
