Requirements
  • Minimum of B.S./B.Tech. degree in Chemistry/Pharmaceuticals
  • Self-starter, meticulous with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • 1-3 years of experience performing various patent search projects including patentability, state-of-art, FTO and invalidity searches
  • Strong technical skills for comprehending complex technology concepts
  • Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with an ability to quickly learn other proprietary and 3rd party analytical/visualization tools
  • Experience in patent landscaping, white space analysis, and audit & benchmarking
  • Basic knowledge of Intellectual Property (IP) fundamentals and/or Patent laws
  • Hands-on experience on patent and non-patent scientific literature databases
  • Competent in verbal and written communication skills
  • Capable of working on individual projects as well as in a team environment
Responsibilities
  • Perform various patent search projects including patentability, state-of-art, FTO and invalidity searches
  • Conducting comprehensive analysis (including relevancy assessment, categorization, and statistical analysis) of patents and scientific literature documents using appropriate tools and databases, and preparing reports summarizing the findings as per the need of the project
  • Timely delivery of projects to respective supervisors in a format that meets the project objectives and customer expectations
Desired Qualifications
  • M. Sc/ M. Tech/Ph. D degree in Chemistry/Pharmaceuticals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including chart/graph generation, and data handling.
