Savills announces Adams Street HQ relocation to 120 South Riverside Plaza.

Savills announces Adams Street HQ relocation to 120 South Riverside Plaza. 04 August 2026 Global private markets investment firm signs 46,000-square-foot lease as it prepares for its 55th anniversary with a modern Chicago headquarters designed for growth and collaboration CHICAGO (August 4, 2026) - Savills announces that longtime client Adams Street Partners, LLC ("Adams Street"), a leading private markets investment management firm with $73 billion[1] in assets under management, has signed a long-term lease for approximately 46,000 square feet at 120 South Riverside Plaza, relocating its headquarters from One North Wacker. The firm is expected to move into its new space in summer 2027. The Savills team of Vice Chairman John Goodman, Vice Chairman Eric Feinberg, Corporate Managing Director Brandon Nasatir, and Managing Director Isabel Schwartz represented Adams Street on the transaction. The new headquarters will occupy the entire 20th floor and a portion of the 21st floor, allowing the global private markets investment firm to bring its employees together on contiguous floors while creating a more modern, collaborative workplace that supports its growth. The new office includes expanded community and collaboration spaces designed to enhance both employee and client experiences. The relocation also marks a symbolic homecoming for Adams Street. The firm's original headquarters was in the historic Rookery Building at LaSalle and Adams Streets, and its new headquarters returns the company to the Adams Street corridor as it prepares to celebrate its 55th anniversary next year. "This move represents an important investment in our future while further solidifying our Chicago roots," said Mike Kurlander, Partner & Chief Financial Officer / Chief Operating Officer at Adams Street Partners. "120 South Riverside Plaza provides the modern workplace, accessibility and flexibility we were seeking to best support our people, foster collaboration and serve our clients. As we approach our 55th anniversary, we are excited to begin our next chapter in a headquarters that reflects who we are today and where we are headed." 10 & 120 S Riverside is an SOM-designed mid-century classic. The 1.4 million square-foot Class-A office complex in Chicago's West Loop was transformed into a vibrant urban campus through more than $80 million in renovations completed in 2025. Upgrades included new Monroe Street entries, expanded and modernized lobbies, fitness centers, private lounges, a revamped conference facility, and a redesigned plaza to create a park-like setting. "Adams Street Partners has been a valued client for nearly 25 years, so helping them identify a headquarters that supports their long-term business objectives made this especially meaningful," added Goodman. "This relocation delivers everything the firm set out to achieve - a highly efficient workplace that brings employees together, provides room for future growth and offers exceptional access for its workforce, all while positioning the company for future success." The landlord, La Caisse (CDPQ), was represented by Kelsey Scheive of CBRE in partnership with the Hines asset management team. [[[1]]] Adams Street Partners' methodology to calculate Assets Under Management (AUM) is based on fund net asset value (NAV), plus unfunded commitments, plus leverage, but excluding the effect of subscription lines of credit. The prior AUM methodology was based on investor commitments minus commitments to fully liquidated underlying partnerships. Such change in methodology was effective July 2026; however, for periods shown prior to December 31, 2025, Adams Street continues to use the previous methodology. This updated methodology more closely aligns with (i) the amount of assets managed on behalf of investors and (ii) the amount of capital available to make direct and/or partnership investments. Amounts stated by investment advisers in regulatory filings ("regulatory AUM") have a prescribed methodology, which may, in some circumstances, differ from the methodology such adviser uses for other purposes, including marketing efforts. Adams Street Partners appoints Jeff Colin to board as firm expands private markets wealth strategy.

Adams Street Partners appoints Jeff Colin to board as firm expands private markets wealth strategy. May 28, 2026 Jeff Colin Adams Street Partners has appointed longtime wealth management executive Jeff Colin to its board of directors as the private markets investment firm continues expanding offerings aimed at high-net-worth investors and wealth advisory channels. Colin succeeds Jeffrey Diermeier, who is retiring from the board after 15 years. The appointment reflects broader structural shifts across private markets investing, where firms historically focused on institutional capital increasingly are building infrastructure and product strategies designed for private wealth clients seeking greater access to private equity, private credit, and alternative investment exposure. Adams Street said Colin brings more than three decades of experience advising ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families on wealth planning, portfolio construction, and long-term asset allocation strategies. He founded Baker Street Advisors in 2004 and currently serves as partner emeritus and member of the firm's management committee. His background also includes leadership roles at Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown, Robertson Stephens, and Goldman Sachs. Managing Partner and Head of Investments Jeffrey Diehl said Colin's experience advising sophisticated investors across multiple market cycles will support Adams Street's continued global expansion and private markets strategy. The private markets industry has increasingly targeted the wealth management channel as firms seek new sources of capital beyond traditional pensions, endowments, and sovereign wealth funds. That shift has required operational changes across product structuring, liquidity management, reporting systems, and investor servicing models as firms adapt traditionally illiquid investment strategies for wealth advisors and affluent individual investors. Adams Street said it has been developing evergreen fund structures and more flexible investment vehicles intended to make private markets exposure more accessible to wealth management platforms and financial advisors. Operationally, serving private wealth investors introduces different demands than institutional fundraising, including lower minimum investment thresholds, more frequent reporting expectations, liquidity management considerations, and broader distribution coordination. Colin said Adams Street has built a strong global private markets platform and partnership-driven culture, adding that he looks forward to supporting the firm's long-term growth initiatives. The firm manages nearly $70 billion in assets across private equity, private credit, and growth capital strategies and operates from 15 offices globally. Adams Street also emphasized continuity in governance and long-term strategic planning following Diermeier's retirement. Chairman Bon French noted that Diermeier played a significant role in the firm's evolution through multiple industry cycles and organizational transitions. The broader private markets sector has become increasingly competitive as asset managers race to expand into wealth channels while balancing liquidity constraints, portfolio diversification, and operational scalability. For firms like Adams Street, long-term execution increasingly depends on integrating institutional investment expertise with more scalable, advisor-friendly distribution and servicing infrastructure capable of supporting growing demand for alternative assets among individual investors.
