Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or relevant discipline
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Experience working with complex contracts, negotiating with vendors and managing processes within tight timelines
  • Strong experience in researching and analyzing data vendor options and presenting recommendations that align with data acquisition strategy
  • Understanding of data acquisition process and procedures
  • Strong understanding of business unit requirements and impact to overall data supply chain (transformation, data content/quality and fulfillment)
  • Meeting facilitation skills and ability to present ideas and information in group settings
Responsibilities
  • Manages strategic third-party data supplier relationships.  Participates in highly critical day-to-day operational issues and the resolution of complex issues.
  • Assists with all aspects of data contracts across the enterprise and negotiates supply agreements with new or improved data sources.
  • Leads root cause analysis of performance gaps vs. KPI targets.  Develops and communicates gap remediation plans, collaborating with other functions and support groups as necessary.
  • Understands Strategic Data Sourcing (SDS) process by demonstrating accountability for its performance, tracking any changes to it and ensuring process documentation is current.
  • Applies critical analysis to implement strategy for onboarding new data assets (source, scope, negotiate), supporting the needs of business unit partners.
  • Monitors industry trends and directions, suggests new capabilities and adapts to changing needs.
  • Interacts with business unit partners and/or suppliers.  Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with suppliers on strategic issues requiring coordination across functional/business unit lines or attempting to influence senior leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.
