HOW YOU WILL DO IT

As a Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer - Product Development, you will manage supplier’s quality deliverables for new product introduction in support of a zero defect strategy.  In this role, you will act as a key liaison between Customers, Engineering Solutions and Suppliers ensuring that overall specifications, quality/regulatory requirements, and expectations are met for all purchased products.

Key Job Accountabilities:

• Management and execution of Supplier Quality-related elements of New Product Release inclusive of; Customer Requirements, Program Planning, Supplier and Part Qualification. 
• Planning and execution of supplier audit and corrective action activities related to initial qualification.
• Approve Supplier Statistical Process Control driving suppliers to demonstrate control over manufacturing systems as part of on-going supplier monitoring.
• Lead product introduction and design transfer activities, including supplier qualification and part qualification across multiple commodities.  .
• Support manufacturing sites on part problem resolution through all phases of new product release.

Additional Accountabilities:

• Participates in customer-facing supplier quality activities.
• Support Sourcing/Materials on alternative supplier selection.
• Mentor and support site personnel on supplier quality activities and process effectiveness.
• Travel as required to support Customer and Supplier visits (estimated 30%).

Education/Experience Qualifications:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline is required.
• Eight (8) years of related experience is required.
• ASQ Certification preferred (CQE, CQA, and CMQOE).
• Broad understanding of materials, manufacturing technologies and processes.

Work Environment:

• The work setting should consist of a manufacturing environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a moderate noise level.
