Sr. Assembly Technician

We have an opening for a Sr. Assembly Technician in our Gaithersburg, MD location. Qualified candidates should be able to thrive in our vigorous company atmosphere and possess good communication skills.

Position Summary:

The role of Sr. Assembly Technician is an integral part of Xometry’s on-site product builds and requires an individual with solid experience with electro-mechanical assembly and testing completed assemblies.  

Responsibilities:

• Mechanical builds of subassemblies & final assemblies
• Testing subassemblies & final assemblies
• Read & interpret both assembly instructions, wiring diagrams, & engineering documents 
• Proactively identify and help address issues with the appropriate groups to assure a smooth & orderly production schedule
• Become an active member of Process Improvement Teams
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma 
• 5+ years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings
• Proficient metal working/machine shop skills, and/or basic PCA (Printed Circuit Assembly) rework and wire soldering skills desired but not required
