Requirements
  • A solid record editing maps, information graphics and other types of visual stories for media outlets, particularly in breaking news situations and in a hybrid-work environment.
  • Development skills, particularly with React, are appreciated.
Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of graphics reporters who will pitch, write and produce visual-first stories that explain the news to general audiences.
  • Lead and edit graphics reporters in conceiving and executing interactives and visualizations on and off the news cycle and ensure that the work meets our standards.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with editors, reporters, designers, and other journalists across the newsroom.

  • A bias for speed, with the flexibility to pivot smoothly between breaking news and more ambitious, high-impact visual enterprise.
