Requirements
  • At least 3 years of work experience in automotive customer service and service sales.
  • Supervisory or management experience in the automotive industry.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based computer software and automotive store applications.
  • ASE Service Consultant certification or equivalent experience.
  • A current driver's license.
  • A driving record acceptable to the current insurance carrier.
  • Ability to remain on their feet for most of the workday, including standing and walking.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry objects weighing over 50 pounds.
  • Ability to drive manual-transmission vehicles.
  • Ability to maintain a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment.
  • Ability to use a keyboard and mouse several times daily.
  • Ability to use a standard handset phone several times daily.
Responsibilities
  • Manage office and shop personnel and daily operations.
  • Follow and enforce company policies and procedures in the current Employee Handbook.
  • Take corrective or disciplinary action for employee non-compliance.
  • Ensure quality of work, attitude, and performance meet or exceed guest-satisfaction goals.
  • Direct the smooth, orderly, and organized operation of the store.
  • Develop estimates and work orders.
  • Direct Service Writers' development of guest estimates and work orders, and assign work orders to technicians.
  • Ensure the selection of quality parts.
  • Ensure target margins are achieved.
  • Open and close the store daily.
  • Perform daily accounting closing and balancing procedures.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations, audits, and report analysis, and report results to franchise owners or operators.
  • Ensure all equipment is fully operational and in good working order.
  • Ensure technicians have the resources needed to perform their jobs.
  • Serve as the primary communication interface with customers before, during, and after service.
  • Greet every guest entering the facility and provide respectful, hospitable service.
  • Present the best solution to properly repair a customer's vehicle in an understandable manner.
  • Sell automotive services consistently and effectively while maintaining honesty and integrity.
  • Represent the organization professionally and uphold honesty and integrity.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with TekMetric software application.
  • Graduation from an industry-recognized service training program.
