Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required.
- At least 3 years of experience in construction engineering, project management, or project controls is required.
- Experience with complex scheduling and cost control processes is required.
- Knowledge of construction contract agreements and change order processes is required.
- The role requires written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, including construction accounting, is required.
- The ability to identify cost reduction strategies in schedules, quantities, or contract specifications that align with project budget and design specification requirements is required.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze contract management records to provide technical advice and project control guidance.
- Assist with cost control reporting and reconciliation for one district or mega project, providing reports to the Project Controls Director for division-level summaries.
- Support the scheduling process for district or mega projects, including the bid phase, project schedule creation, monthly reporting, and schedule updates.
- Aid in integrating company systems to track, monitor, and control costs or schedules, ensuring accurate training and utilization of approved systems for project document control and reporting.
- Conduct regular project reviews and monitor job cost reports against key performance indicators.
- Coordinate with the Division Claims/Contract Manager to track and monitor change order and claims preparation and resolution.
- Track activities related to unsecured revenue and project contingencies.
- Monitor and control project cash flow by tracking overbilling and underbilling.
- Assist with resource and cost loading to the schedule, including labor projections, equipment and material projections, and productivity trend reporting to accurately forecast project costs and financial outcomes.
