Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, process or structural engineering, or other technical discipline
  • 2+ years of industry experience
  • Hands-on experience with fluid equipment or testing apparatus
  • Ability to read, understand, and produce schematics, blueprints, and/or diagrams (i.e. P&IDs)
Responsibilities
  • As a Ground Systems Engineer II you will be responsible for design, draft, and analysis of launch range systems including but not limited to:
  • Cryogenics
  • Vehicle Support equipment
  • Component selection: Mechanisms, valving. piping, filtration, flow, pressure and temperature measurement, system feedback etc
  • Gas systems
  • P&IDs
  • 2D & 3D modelling using CAD software
  • Design for high vibration, harsh, and hazardous environments
  • Launch vehicle umbilical and interfaces
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with design, commissioning, operation and maintenance of fluid systems to national and/or international codes and standards
  • Experience leading complex engineering projects
  • Experience with launch pad systems OR oil and gas, process, mining, or other similar industry. This role is not limited to those with prior launch system experience
  • Experience with NX, Teamcenter, Draftsight would be an asset
  • Experience with structural design and analysis
  • Experience with design of fluid systems to PEPCR, ASME, ASTM and/or NASA Ground system standards would be an asset
