View

National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) is the national service organization for America’s electric cooperatives. It promotes, supports, and protects the interests of its 900+ member electric co-ops and their consumer-members, aiming to ensure safe, reliable, and affordable electric service. It advances energy technologies through research and development and helps co-ops implement the best energy solutions for their communities. NRECA distinguishes itself by being a member-driven network that combines advocacy, policy, research, education, and global rural electrification efforts, rather than selling a single product. Its goal is to strengthen the cooperative model, expand access to affordable electricity, and advance energy innovation for rural areas at home and abroad.
