Requirements
  • Fellow in the Society of Actuaries.
  • Ten or more years of actuarial experience.
  • Experience with actuarial projection, valuation, and pricing models.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Strong presentation skills and experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • Superior problem solving skills.
Responsibilities
  • Inform LTC actuarial leaders and the senior leadership team of the actuarial assumption development process and emerging experience trends.
  • Provide leadership in the development, implementation and governance of change management standards for LTC actuarial models (pricing, valuation and projections).
  • Engage with Experience, Research and Development team members to lead projects and generate ad hoc and standard experience studies and analysis.
  • Provide support for in force management and new product introductions.
  • Be able to respond to questions from senior leadership, auditors, consultants, reinsurers, and other interested parties.
Desired Qualifications
  • Five or more years of relevant work experience within the long-term care insurance industry.
  • Strong programming and actuarial modeling skills.
  • Able to manage concurrent deadlines and multiple priorities.
  • Ability to document processes well.
  • Attention to detail, with a strong focus on accuracy and ability to review actuarial processes.
  • Project management skills.
