  • 6+ years or equivalent of global research experience at an agency, brand, or market research supplier focused on B2B or Enterprise technology (with experience across hardware and software)
  • Experience conducting primary and secondary research applying mixed methodologies (quantitative & qualitative research)
  • Exceptional at finding trends in the data, articulating the “so what,” and translating insights into strategic & actionable recommendations
  • Adept at guiding groups with divergent opinions toward a unifying decision, drawing upon data to ground decision-making
  • Excellent project management skills, and experience managing vendor relationships
  • Excellent communication and data story-telling skills, including the ability to clearly present findings and recommendations to diverse stakeholders
  • Comfortable navigating large datasets, with experience creating dashboards for stakeholders through internal reporting tools (Looker, Tableau, etc.)
  • Skilled in Excel and Powerpoint, with ability to translate to Google Suite

  • The Senior Manager, Market & Customer Research will produce work used to inform global marketing & brand strategies, product strategy, product launches, lifecycle marketing, audience expansion, and brand campaigns. You will provide the company with a deep understanding of SMB and Enterprise customer personas and their motivations
  • Develop questionnaires, sample plans, screeners, and discussion guides; and moderate focus groups for non-partner-supported research
  • Identify research needs, help determine the team's focus areas and project roadmap
  • Lead day-to-day project, stakeholder, and budget management of your projects
  • Manage and guide external partners in the design, edits, and execution of any outsourced or partner-supported research
  • Synthesize research findings into insightful observations with clear, actionable business implications and strategic recommendations
  • Research examples include: path-to-purchase studies, user needs analyses, customer personas & segmentation, competitive landscape audits, creative testing, brand health tracking, etc
  • Partner closely and cross-functionally with Product, Product Marketing, Integrated Marketing, Business Development, Sales, International Marketing, and Customer Success
  • Work with Product, Product Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure we have a deep understanding of prospective customers and the industries in which they work-informing go-to-market strategy for new products & solutions to increase Matterport's revenue
  • Work with Design and Product/Brand Marketing teams to test value prop, positioning, and creative testing to ensure our external facing communications are clear and resonant with target audiences at each stage of the lifecycle
  • Support company-wide thought leadership on future bets based on industry and customer trends, helping all Marketing teams communicate externally to inspire prospective & current customers
  • Deepen the organizational knowledge of our prospective and existing customers, representing the customer and their needs to all teams across the business-always ensuring the customer has a seat at the table through your in-depth knowledge of their needs, attitudes, and behaviors
