Fundamentals of drawing the figure anatomically and expressively. Lectures, studio work, 4 hours per week.

Compensation
Effective September 1, 2024 - $7,471.08 per half course (195 hours nominally)
Effective September 1, 2024 - $14,942.17 per full course (390 hours nominally)
Please note: Instructors who are employed in a 2-hour/week lecture, or the equivalent of a 2-hour/week lecture, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.
Duties
Duties and responsibilities will be in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement. These include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty).
Qualifications
1. MFA is required.
2. Previous teaching experience of at least two years at the university level is required.
3. Knowledgeable with all instructional approaches to drawing from historical to contemporary applications including figurative, gestural and conceptual approaches, experience instructing from the live model and knowledge of current theoretical trends required.
4. A record of professional activity and exhibitions with a focus on drawing demonstrative of standing in the art community required.
5. Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level in the area to be taught (e.g. course evaluations, letters of reference, and/or other components of teaching dossier) is required.

· Part-time Graduate Students and Non-Students shall not accept any appointment which, taken together with all other appointments at the University, would cause the member to exceed the maximum number of regular hours - i.e. not overtime hours - allowable in a work week under the Employment Standards Act, as amended from time to time.
