Requirements
  • Enrollment in a relevant degree or technical program in Diesel/Heavy Equipment Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Construction Management, or a related field, or a high school diploma/equivalent with strong interest in the field.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment is helpful but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to a fast-paced, hands-on setting.
  • Ability to work in outdoor, field, and shop environments.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Assist mechanics with routine maintenance and repair work on heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers.
  • Observe and participate in diagnosing equipment issues, identifying problems, and developing solutions under experienced staff guidance.
  • Help perform preventative maintenance tasks to support equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Assist in maintaining equipment-related reports, maintenance logs, and metrics.
  • Learn and follow safety procedures and regulatory requirements related to equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Work with mechanics, equipment managers, and field staff to support equipment division goals.
  • Participate in identifying opportunities to improve maintenance and repair processes.
